Women's Ministry Opportunities

The women of Ridgecrest have a variety of opportunities to become involved in fellowship and ministry. These include special fellowships for women and Women's Missionary Union groups.

For example, check out the fun time we had at the recent "Fun Fellowship for Females" and make plans to join us for the next women's fellowship.

Women's Missionary Union Groups

WMU offers opportunities for Christians to meet together for Bible study, witnessing, learning about world issues, and participating in missions projects.

Women on Mission is a missions organization for women (ages 18 and up) through which women pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and participate in the work of the church and the denomination. The purpose of all Women on Mission activities is that every person have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.

Acteens is a missions organization for girls aged 12–17 or in grades 7–12. In Acteens, girls grow toward becoming all the heavenly Father created them to be. Designed with the needs and interests of teenaged girls in mind, Acteens is an opportunity to grow in understanding God, yourself, and others.

Girls in Action is a missions organization for girls in grades 1-6. In GA^®, girls:

• learn what missionaries do.
• pray for missionaries and their work.
• discover how they can help other people.
• save and give money to help tell other people about Jesus.
• learn about people around the world.
• have fun with friends!

Mission Friends is the church missions organization of WMU for preschoolers ages birth through prefirst. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle. Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news!
